Trung Quốc - Chùa Thiếu Lâm
The Shaolin temple is a Buddhist monastery, founded into 495 after J.C by the emperor Yuan Hong, located in the strategic province of Henan, in the middle of China. In this very coveted area, the monks had to develop a system of self-defence. Consequently, this temple was regarded as the birthplace of the kung fu. With the variation of the community, monks, very close to nature, felt the need to open out physically and mentally. For that, they took as a starting point the the movements of the animals (monkey, leopard) and thus created the kung fu shaolin, discipline with whole share. Indissociable of the history of China, this community always supported the emperors to drive out the invaders.
The temple was then seen giving grounds and became, with the wire of time, a great arts centre and economic of deep China, from now on dedicated to its initial objective: mental blooming by a form of meditation.
