Milos is a volcanic island. It owes its form and its originality with eruptions which, according to geologists, would have started there is more than two million years. It is divided into two parts by immense natural roads which are not other than the crater of the volcano invaded by the sea: it is the bay of Adamas, one of the largest natural ports of the Mediterranean. Very different from other Cyclades, Milos is characterized by the formation of rocks to the forms and the surprising colors: the purest white with the black, yellow with the dark red. Mountainous in the South, with a climax to 751 m, and relatively low in North. Milos is equipped with a very cut out coast which shelters innumerable bays and splits where nest of charming fishing ports. Many also are the beaches, more than sixty fifteen, as well as the underwater caves. As a whole Milos is deprived of trees, however one finds there zones fertile in North and the North-East. By renting a scooter, you will be able to traverse the roads with complete freedom. There are some splendid splits with water turquoises. We placed in camp-site (17 euros nuity for two in fabric of tent) Three more beautiful beaches: Tzigrado: small beach in bottom of a descent of 25 m sand of white pearlite; single colors.
