نيبالThe path climbs stiff inclined along the valley of Jhong Kola. The stripped landscape of yellow color contrasts with the blue sky and the white tops. The sights on Daulagiri and Nilgiri are superb.

If the nights are cold, the days are very beautiful, with a permanent sun.

With the top of Muktinath, are two temples hindouists of the gods Shiva and Vishnou. Only the first is accessible for us. Is the temple of Vishnou surrounded by 108 openings of fountains in the shape of head of cow run out a crowned water. Low, a Buddhist temple; Jwala May produces natural gas jets giving a perpetual crowned flame and, with also a crowned fountain. That symbolizes the meeting of the ground, fire and water. It is a high place of pilgrimage hindouist and Buddhist. The night with Muktinath is very cold.

Muktinath to Jomsom.

Unevenness in descent: 1050m. Duration 5 hours.

The caravans are very numerous along the stony bed of Gandaki Kali. Still equipped with red fabrics, the merchants and the muleteers seem appearances come from the fine bottom of the past. Some Sadhus are moving in direction of Muktinath. This descent on a peak towards Jomsom makes it possible to appreciate a splendid panorama on the snow-covered valley and tops.

Jomsom is not of particular interest. It is the only village of altitude which has a bank, a post office and an aerodrome. With is the top of Jomson, on other bank the village of Thinigaum O? the children accomodates me with joy. Thinigum, out of the beaten paths, dominates the rice plantations. Close to the village of Dhumpa, the lake of mountain is of a green which contrasts with the sky and persistent snows. A rise brings me to the splendid Kutsapternga monastery.
